Adding a Dashlet
There are two ways to add a dashlet to your dashboard:
Question Lists & Communication Dashlets
Question Lists and CivicScience Communications dashlets can be added directly from the selected dashboard itself. To get started, click on the link labeled "Click here to add new dashlet."
CivicScience Communication Dashlet
To add a CivicScience Communications dashlet, select "CivicScience Communications" from the "Dashlet Type" dropdown and then click the "Add" button.
To add a Question List dashlet, select "Question List" from the "Dashlet Type" dropdown and then click the "Add" button.
Next, you will be able to apply a series of parameters and filters to the question list, which is best thought of as the results of a search. These include:
- A name
- Text search term(s)
- Question type
- Tags (public or custom)
You will notice that these are some search controls available on the Questions page.
When you have made the desired configurations, click the "Save" button and this set of search results will be added to the currently-selected Dashboard.
Data Views can be added from within a questions results.
Just click on the "Add to Dashboard" link anywhere you see it across the question results views.
Data Views can be added from within a questions results. Just click on the "Add to Dashboard" link anywhere you see it across the question results views. Once you click this link, you will be asked to which Dashboard you would like to add the Data View.
Data View dashlets of the following can be added to your Dashboards:
- Question Results topline
- Question Time View
- Question Profile
- Question Compare
- Question Insights
- Question Compare Suggestions
- Statistics (Publisher accounts only)
The Data View you add to the Dashboard will reflect any filters or weighting you have applied.
